IOSH Training Courses

At Courtley Health & Safety we run IOSH training courses from our training centre in Liverpool. We may also be able to offer the training at your workplace if it is suitable. A list of the current IOSH courses we offer can be found below.

What is IOSH Training?

IOSH training aims to give delegates the skills and knowledge they need to be able to manage practical health and safety issues which may arise in the workplace. The course is aimed at managers and supervisors who require knowledge of safe systems of work.

What Does IOSH Training Involve?

IOSH training covers a broad range of health and safety topics. Including the principles of accident prevention, health and safety management systems, risk assessments and the implementation of control methods, accident investigation, and auditing.

The course also covers workplace hazards, and fire, electricity and noise equipment. Were a dedicated course has been booked we will tailor these areas to your individual workplace.

How Much is an IOSH Course?

Our IOSH Managing Safely course is priced at £475 plus VAT. There are also discounts available if you book more than 3 places on a training course. Contact us for more information on discounts.

How Long is an IOSH Course?

The managing safely course lasts for 3 days. We usually run this course one day per week over 3 consecutive weeks.

What Does IOSH Stand For?

IOSH stands for The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health. Formed in 1945 it is the advocate, champion and trainer for those who have a responsibility for the well being of others. The aim of the IOSH is to create a safer and healthier places to work.

How Long is an IOSH Certificate Valid For?

The IOSH managing safely accreditation does not have an expiry date. However we, and IOSH, recommend that candidates take a refresher course every 3 years in order to keep their knowledge up to date.
