Basic Scaffold Inspection
Overview: This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting basic scaffolds and for those who are required to complete reports in accordance with Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Attendees should have some awareness and experience of scaffolding structures in their normal occupation, trade and industrial sector (e.g. construction, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance etc.). Individuals who do not have knowledge and experience of scaffolding should consider attending alternative scaffolding awareness training prior to this course.

Completion of the Basic Scaffold Inspection course provides attendees with the knowledge required to understand how to inspect basic scaffolding structures, in traditional tube and fittings that conform to TG20:13 compliance sheet; and other generally recognised configurations (e.g. edge protection following SG27 guidance) in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and scaffolding industry best practice. Designed scaffold structures outside of this scope will require inspection by an Advanced Scaffold Inspector.
