Health & Safety Awards 2020

We’re a bit late with our Health & Safety Awards for 2020, but in spite of everything that’s been going on and continues to unfold; we feel it’s even more important to give special recognition to a couple of Member companies whose efforts and accomplishments over the difficult previous year have especially impressed us.
We work with many fantastic organisations, so it’s always hard to choose the winners out of the nominations put forward throughout the year by the Courtley Team.
The annual awards are presented to the Member companies we feel have shown an exceptional commitment to continually improving attitudes and cultures to reflect high standards of health, safety and well-being within their organisations.
The winner of 2020’s Health & Safety Award is
Melrose was nominated by their dedicated H&S advisor, Jordan Beasley, for the overall award, which is usually given to longer-standing Members.
Jordan said “Melrose took a diligent approach in planning and reopening their sites to achieve and maintain compliance with guidance for COVID-19 after the initial lockdown.
On a practical level, whenever issues are raised with site managers, they are always quickly actioned and operatives work hard to instil a positive and pro-active approach to health and safety on-site with subcontractors.”
The winner of 2020’s Newcomer Health & Safety Award is TD Cooling Services
TD Cooling was nominated for the Newcomer Award, which is awarded to a Member that joined us during the year.
We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Richie and the team, and of watching TDC go from strength to strength thanks to their excellent service provision, embedding a positive health and safety culture as they’ve expanded.
Visits always prompt praise and positive evaluation from our safety advisors, who report well maintained sites. TDC also received feedback from Airbus stating their health and safety paperwork was the best they have seen.
To the award winners, and all our Members – thank you for your continued hard work and efforts. Here’s to many more safe and successful years in partnership.
